Toppings for Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas

But what about toppings? Sure, you could go with the classic sour cream and guacamole, but why not mix it up a bit?

Here are some ideas to take your sheet pan chicken fajitas to the next level:

  • Let’s start with something simple yet delicious: shredded cheese. Cheddar or Monterrey Jack will add a nice creamy texture to your fajitas.
  • Are you feeling spicy? Add some jalapeños or hot sauce for an extra kick.
  • Don’t forget about veggies! Sautéed bell peppers and onions are a staple in traditional fajitas, but feel free to throw in whatever vegetables you have on hand.
  • For something different, try mixing in some cooked black beans or corn.
  • Do you like your fajitas with a kick? Add some pickled jalapenos to the pan.
  • We recommend serving the fajitas with a generous amount of guacamole, sour cream, and salsa.
  • Serve with soft-shell or hard-shell tortillas or make fajita bowls with rice.
