Terms Of Use

I sometimes get contacted about featuring a craft, crochet pattern or recipe in round-ups. I also get asked about the terms of use on my crochet patterns.

This section of frequently asked questions will hopefully clear this up, however, if you still have questions, please contact me.

CAN I SHARE YOUR PATTERN, CRAFT, OR RECIPE POST IN A ROUND-UP POST?

Yes, you may add a link to in your post! I love it when people share my work.

When it comes to a crochet pattern (either on the blog or printed), link to the blog post. Please do not steal my patterns and claim them as yours. This would be considered stealing.

MAY I USE A PHOTO IN MY ROUND-UP POST?

Yes, you may use 1 photo if you need to. Please make sure correct ownership is given and that links go back to the original blog post.

Can I crop out any watermarks in your photos?

No. Please leave any watermarks in the photo. Only time cropping is allowed is for a collage for a round-up post.

MAY I SHARE YOUR CROCHET PATTERN?

Yes, but share the link to the blog post.

It takes me a great deal of time to create these patterns, write the post, take the photographs, and create a printable. So please, always share the link to the blog post and nothing else.

WHERE CAN I FIND AD-FREE, PRINTABLE VERSIONS OF YOUR CROCHET PATTERNS?

Some patterns will have a place where you can enter your email address to receive a printable version.

If you do not want to share your email address with me, you can purchase patterns in my Etsy store for a few dollars.

CAN I PRINT YOUR FREE PATTERNS? CAN I CREATE PDFS OF YOUR FREE PATTERNS?

Some of the crochet patterns on the site have printable versions if you want to part of my newsletter. They are ad-free and comment free. By being part of my newsletter, it allows you to see what new patterns I come up with. When you return to my site, it shows your support for my work.

I understand that not everyone would like to be on my newsletter. If that is the case, please support me by purchasing a pattern on Etsy. It will help keep me stocked with yarn to create more projects. After payment is processed, the pdf version of the pattern will be made available to you.

If however, you do decide to create your own PDFs or print my patterns, all ads included, please create them for your own use only and NOT for distribution!  I understand that you may not have access to 24/7 internet; sometimes it’s nice to have a paper copy on hand.

Can I sell finish products made from your patterns?

Yes, feel free to sell your creations. I only ask that you sell online or in person, please give credit to me for the pattern – Devon from Midwestern Moms/Copsey Media, LLC. Please link to the original blog post for the pattern or to https://midwesternmoms.com.

My patterns are made with hard work and love and they are intended for handmade items. Do not turn my patterns into patterns to be made via machinery or mass production. Please support the wonderful crocheters who make items by hand with love.

Are your patterns in US or UK Terms?

My patterns are written with US terms.

Can you make a video showing how to make a project?

I try to make videos when I can. Not all projects will have video.

CAN I TRANSLATE YOUR FREE PATTERNS TO SHARE ON MY BLOG OR IN MY FACEBOOK GROUP FOR A CROCHET-ALONG?

No, I do not allow translations of my patterns. If you’d like a translation of a pattern, I can publish your translation on my blog and make it accessible to your audience. You can then link to my site from your blog or from your Facebook group. I will give you full credit as the translator and can include any blog URL or social media information in the credits.

Thank you for understanding!

Your support is greatly appreciated.
