Equipment

  • kitchen scissors
  • non-stick cooking spray

Ingredients

Homemade Chips

  • 12 corn tortillas
  • iodized salt

Homemade Guacamole Dip

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tbsp. freshly squeeze lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic

Instructions

Homemade Chips

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Lightly spray and baking sheet with the non-stick cooking spray.
  • Use the kitchen scissors to cut the tortillas into smaller triangles or have the kids rip them with their hands.
  • Place the tortillas on the baking sheet and lightly salt.
  • Bake 7-10 minutes. Rotate the pan halfway through so the chips cook evenly.

Homemade Guacamole Dip

  • Slice the avocados open and scoop the avocado into a medium size bowl.
  • Mash the avocados and add the seasonings, mixing well.
  • Serve with the fresh tortilla chips.
