Scrubby Moss Stitch Dishcloth Pattern

I made another scrubby crochet dishcloth pattern!! Just love how fun this scrubby yarn is!

This dishcloth is made with Red Heart Scrubby Cotton yarn and I used the moss stitch to create it.

Scrubby Moss Stitch Dishcloth PatternAs you can see, the moss stitch isn’t really noticeable when looking at the dishcloth, except where the color changes. That is ok since the moss stitch makes it very easy to make!

Have you tried my other scrubby dishcloth pattern? May want to grab up that pattern as well!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Red Heart Scrubby Cotton Yarn in 2 colors. I used Caribbean and Lemony
  • I/9 Crochet Hook (5.5 mm)
  • Yarn Needle
  • Digital Row Counter – I use this row counter.
  • Scissors

Important – If you plan to modify the size of this dishcloth, make sure your starting chain has an even number.

PATTERN:

Row 1: Chain 30. Single Crochet in the 4th chain from the hook, *chain 1, skip 1 chain, Single Crochet in the next chain*; repeat from * to *. Chain 2 and turn your work.

Row 2: Single Crochet in the next chain-1 space, *ch 1, Single Crochet in the next chain-1 space*; repeat from * to *, end with a single crochet in the chain-3 space at the start of Row 1. (Change Colors now if you are making stripes.) Chain 2 and turn your work.

Row 3 – 32: Single Crochet in the next chain-1 space, *chain 1, Single Crochet in the next chain-1 space*; repeat from * to *, ending with a Single Crochet in the chain-2 space at the start of the previous row. Chain 2 and turn your work.

Change colors every 2 rows for stripes.

After row 32, cut your yarn and weave in your ends.
