This dishcloth pattern is perfect for beginners or someone looking for a quick and easy project to make. (If you want more dishcloth patterns, click see all the free patterns.)
I realized that I had not created a simple pattern that only used single crochet stitches. Thus, this dishcloth was born.
Plus, I want to work on some designs for single crochet dishcloths. This way, I would determine how big to make it and what stitch counts I would to create these projects. Make sure you follow us or join our newsletter to keep up with new patterns!
Now on to the pattern, as I said before, it is simple and made with all single crochet stitches. The finished dishcloth is roughly 10 inches by 10 inches.
What you will need:
- 100% Cotton Yarn
- H Crochet Hook (5 mm) – I love using these hooks
Row Counter– This is optional but is SO helpful for many projects.
- Yarn Needle
Row 1: Chain 33. Single crochet back along the chain. (32 stitches total)
Row 2- 36: Chain 1. Single crochet across. (32 stitches in each row).
At the end of row 36, cut your yarn and weave in your ends. I did not make a border on this dishcloth, but you may add one if you like.
