The other day, I was trying to remember some fun crafts that I made when I was younger. Then the handprint turkey craft popped in my mind. I remembered this as being so fun to do; so, I thought I would have my preschooler make one.
I created a printable so that he could work on his writing skills instead of making a cut-out version. If you are looking for a cut-out activity, check out my Paper Plate Turkey Craft for Preschoolers.
With this handprint turkey craft, I let my son create the turkey the way he wanted. Options are limitless. He choose to have me put finger paint on his hands and stamp the turkey on the page. If you do this too, I would suggest printing on card stock instead of paper. He could trace and color his turkey, or glue feathers and eyes on the page as well. I am sure he will be wanting to make more of these turkeys.
My son wanted me to create a turkey as well, so I traced my hand and colored it with markers.
If you let your child use this printable, let their creative minds decide how to make the turkey. The canvas is blank and waiting for your little artist to create what their mind sees.
