Need an easy crochet dishcloth pattern? This pattern uses the lemon peel stitch (alternating single and double crochet stitches) to create a beautiful pattern!
This pattern is just alternating a single crochet stitch and a double crochet stitch (also known as the lemon peel stitch).
I didn’t add an edging around this dishcloth to keep it easy but feel free to add one if you wish.
Perfect digital row counter that doesn't disrupt your crocheting.
Don’t forget a matching crochet dish towel!

I SO needed to see this! The previous owner of our house left us a crochet cleaning towel and I love it so much! Now I can make some for myself!
What a thoughtful gift to leave for new owners!! I am going to have to remember this if we ever move. Glad I was able to give you a pattern so you can make more!
I hadn’t thought of alternating single and double crochets. It makes a nice pattern doesn’t it?

Thanks so much for sharing your free pattern
the dish and or was clothes make wonderful gift…I bought a couple of them at a craft sale. And I fell in love with them.
and now I make them as stocking stuffers for my friends at Christmas and or for their Birthdays…and they love them. They ask me to make them for them and they too…give them to the family and their friends.
I love your site…Thanks again.

I am just learning to crochet and follow a pattern. On row 2 is it 1 single crochet, then double crochet all the way across, then next row again, 1 single crochet and double crochet all the way across, or is it always alternating single and double crochet? Thank you
You alternate the stitch types in the same row.
How many chains/rows do you do for the lemon peel crochet dish towel? I see the pattern for dishcloth but not the dishtowel.
Thanks
Hi Brenda! The pattern can be found here: https://midwesternmoms.com/easy-crochet-dish-towel-pattern/
Love to crochet dish cloths. Thanks for pattern.
A girl-friend of mine told me she loved crocheted dish clothes. I’m so excited to use your patterns to surprise her later this week. Thank you.
Also, can you educate me as to how to make an even border around your patterens?
Thank you in advance.
This is a great pattern! I’m going to make one for myself.
