*I received admission tickets and gift cards to several attractions in Omaha, Nebraska from Visit Omaha. All opinions are my own.

This past weekend, we had a fun packed adventure in Omaha, Nebraska! There were so many things to do in Omaha! So many things to do that the boys didn’t get their naps, they were too busy having fun.

I will give you a run down of all the things we did in Omaha in this post and go into more detail on a few of the places in the next few posts.

Day 1:

Henry Doorly Zoo

The first thing we did in Omaha was visit the Henry Doorly Zoo. We spent the majority of the day at the zoo. There is so much to see and really this could easily be a whole day visit! Find out more about our time at the Henry Doorly Zoo here.

Durham Museum

After we left the zoo, we visited the Durham Museum. My oldest son loved seeing all the train cars in the lower level. As soon as he seen them, he went running to climb in and see what was inside.

Someone is REALLY excited to see the trains! @visitomaha #train #OmahaWeekend #travel #travelgram #traveling #dailysummergram #vacation

The current traveling exhibit was the Egyptian exhibit. They had several hands on activities that kids and adults loved. There were people at each of the activities while we were there so I didn’t get a picture of this area. There were also store fronts and inside of houses that were a blast from the past. A very interesting way to display antique items. My oldest was amazed at some of the differences between the past and the present. Things to do in Omaha with Kids - The Durham Museum Day 2:

Amazing Pizza Machine

We had lunch at the Amazing Pizza Machine. It was fun to play games and eat at their large buffet. The games range in age so there is a little bit of something for everyone. Even the older kids would enjoy it. They had laser tag, go carts, and bumper cars that they would love spending all day at.

Omaha Children’s Museum

In the afternoon we visited Omaha Children’s Museum. Talk about SO much fun. The kids loved it. We could have spent all day here as well. Read more about the Omaha’s Children Museum here.

Roja Mexican Grill

For supper, we had Roja’s Mexican Grill + Margarita Bar. Wonderful food and service. They have a kids menu and they provide crayons and place mats to help keep the kids busy while they wait. on their food. I ordered a burrito and it was HUGE! I am not afraid of leftovers and I was able to eat my burrito for a total of 3 meals!

Roja Mexican Grill was a great place to eat while visiting Omaha, NE

Day 3:

Village Pointe

The last day was a shopping day. We to Village Pointe Shopping Center. It was Monday and early morning so it was a gorgeous day and wasn’t too crowded. The campus was beautiful with many flowers and grasses planted.

We were able to get some clothes at Old Navy and new tennis shoes at Scheels for the boys. I had never heard of Scheels but it was great. It was an outdoor and sports type of store. The boys loved looking around this store as there was so much to see. Their favorite was the big Moose up on the second floor of the store. The staff was very helpful as well.

Great shopping at Village Point in Omaha, NEHave you been to Omaha, Nebraska? What was your favorite place to visit?
