Russian Tea

When I first learned about Russian Tea, I was sick with a sore throat. It was recommended to me as a “cure-all” to drink warm and help my throat feel better. Now, I use this recipe for many purposes. It also can be made into an iced tea version as well as being served hot.

This mix also makes a great gift when stored in mason jars. I like to decorate the mason jars I give as gifts with fabric and raffia and tie a wooden spoon scoop to the outside.

Ingredients

  • 2 c Tang (or another orange drink mix)
  • 1/2 c Instant Tea
  • 1 1/4 c Sugar
  • 1 pkg Lemonade Mix
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cloves

Directions

Mix all ingredients listed above in a large bowl. Store in an air-tight container, such as a large plastic bowl sealed with a lid, or a mason jar.

To serve, spoon 2-3 tsp into a cup of hot or cold water and stir.

Have you ever tried this tea before? What did you think? It took me awhile to get used to at first, but definitely does make a sore throat feel better!

I have had sinuses flaring up since the heat had to be turned on. This sounds delicious. Have to get a few things before I can try it, can hardly wait.

Why all the fake foods instead of real natural food? honey and lemon water are great for many ailments, add ground ginger for stomach problems, a touch of cayenne for detox, rose hips, lemon grass there are so many good natural remedies, using a super sweet processed one seems detrimental.
