Crochet Headband Patterns
Crochet headbands are a simple crochet project that most people can complete in a short amount of time. I like working on them for this reason.
One thing a person needs to know about creating headbands. Not every head is the same size, but we can get close.
Measurements for Crochet Headbands
These are the approximate measurements for making headbands. These measurements are also listed on each of my patterns so you may recreate the headband in the size that you need.
- Newborn 13 inches
- 3-6 months 14 inches
- 6-12 months 16 inches
- 12 months-tween 17.5 inches
- Adult 18 inches
These are the length of the headband before making a complete circle – end to end.
Yarn for Crochet Headband Patterns
When deciding on what yarn the use for a crochet headband, think about how soft it is.
When I decide on yarn, I try and decide “if a newborn is going to like to wear a headband with this yarn”.
Normally, I create headbands with Caron Simply Soft. But there are times I have used something else.
Also, it will depend on your project.
