Crochet Dish Scrubbie

I am addicted to creating crochet items for the kitchen! Check out this new dish scrubbie that I made (sometimes called tawashi). I love that it is double-sided and is perfect for scrubbing those pots and pans.

I use acrylic yarn when making scrubbies for the kitchen, because the yarn is more coarse and makes for good scrubbing. However, if you used cotton yarn, these also work well for washing your face or body (or your baby). They work up quick and make fabulous gifts!

Here is a picture of the one that I made Monday.

You can find this full pattern and tutorial on the Naztazia website. She has worked it up into a video, which is great to follow along with as you crochet! After all, You Tube is how I learned to crochet and the different stitches available!

I have several wedding and new baby events to attend this summer, so hopefully I will have great crochet projects to post all summer long!

What type of crochet projects are your favorite? Do you tend to like the long projects, such as afghans, or shorter projects that take just a few hours to complete?
