Cream Cheese Frosting

unsalted butter
softened

cream cheese
softened

powdered sugar

teaspoon
vanilla extract
Instructions
Cookies
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the sugar and butter together until well blended.
Beat in pumpkin, egg, and vanilla until mixture is smooth.
Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
Fold in (by hand) the chocolate chips.
Drop cookies (about a tablespoon size) onto your baking sheets covered with parchment paper.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until the edges are firm. Make sure to check on the cookies as they bake.
Allow to cool before adding the frosting, if desired.
Cream Cheese Frosting
In a large bowl, beat together the butter and cream cheese until well blended.
With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the powdered sugar until creamy.
Beat in vanilla until well blended.
Spread the frosting on the cooled cookies.
