As we are nearing the end of the month, I wanted to report my total amount saved by switching to International Delight at over $120!
Isn’t that enough to make you want to pour a glass?
After taking the challenge to drink Iced Coffee at home, opposed to going to the local coffee shop, I am definitely going to continue on with my journey of savings from home. With the money saved up this month I will be taking my family on a trip to the zoo, since it seems like summer decided to come early this year in the Midwest! I’m very excited to take my daughter this year since she can now communicate and knows what the animals are!
Having the calculator savings widget on the sidebar has been a great way to actually be able to see the savings daily and update my jar at home! Since I’ve seen what small changes can do for our budget, I’ve started applying the concept of creating and enjoying specialty foods from home rather than going out so much. If I can save $120 just with coffee, imagine the cuts I can make to other areas of my life in order to save even more!
International Delight Iced Coffee comes in three flavors: Original, Mocha and Vanilla. When I first started drinking them, Vanilla was definitely my favorite. However, over time, I have switched to Mocha being my favorite. Vanilla is more of a sweet taste and I prefer it during those times that I need to feed my sweet tooth!
During the entire month, I only had to purchase 4 containers of Iced Coffee because each carton lasted me an entire week. I love that this coffee comes ready-made in the carton and is easy to pour and enjoy quickly. When it comes to having my coffee in the morning, the sooner the better! Another thing that I should mention is that switching to International Delight also saved me gas money from having to drive to my local coffee shop daily!
