Tips for when your boy hates bath time

So happy to share this blog post I created as a Suave Kids partner. The Disney, Frozen and Star Wars trademarks are used by Unilever pursuant to a license agreement with The Walt Disney Company. All rights reserved.

Do you have a boy that turns and runs away as fast as he can as soon as you mention “bath time”? You are not the only one.

Tips for when your boy hates bath time

It wasn’t that long ago that my youngest boy refused to take a bath. I would tell the boys was bath time he stopped dead in his tracks, spun around on one foot, and ran away.

So, how do you get a boy who hates bath time into the tub?

1. Let them have toys – We allow the boys to take non-tub toys into the tub. What got our little guy into the tub – building blocks. They are plastic and easily dry. The boys build boats and they test them to see if they floated or not.

2. Let them have control – My youngest just turned three. He thinks he is a big kid and can do everything on his own. So allowing him to help wash up makes him think he is in charge.

3. Make it fun – There are fun tub paints that kids can use to draw on the side of the tub. It easily wipes clean. Another option, they can pretend they are fish or a shark in the sea. Play time with a purpose.

4. Let them choose their own soap – Take them down the soap aisle and let them pick out the soap they want. Let them have their favorite character soap. If it helps them get in the tub, I am all for it.

Since using these tips, my youngest is now loving bath time. He runs towards the tub now smiling and excited when I announce it is time.

Want to know what soap the boys love to use?

The boys currently are using Suave Kids® Disney Star Wars™ Collection. We have the BB-8 3-in- 1 Shampoo + Conditioner + Body Wash in Galactic Fresh and Kylo Ren 3-in- 1 Shampoo + Conditioner + Body Wash in Hyperspace Apple.

They love choosing which scent they are going use during bath time. Sometimes they choose the same one and sometimes they want different ones.

Choosing their soap gives them a little bit of control and I don’t have to worry because it is a no tear formula.

The 3-in-1 formula cleans while leaving skin and hair soft. It comes in a 28 oz. pump bottle which makes bath time simple.

To get the Sauve Kids Disney Collection for your kids, simply visit any Wal-Mart and Target. You can also find it in Mass, Grocery, Drug and Value Retailers nationwide.
