A delicious peanut butter smoothie to jump-start your day!
We all need an extra boost in the morning, and a simple peanut butter smoothie is perfect.
The protein from the peanut butter is perfect to get the mind going and focusing on morning tasks without getting distracted by hunger pains.
Adding the rolled oats is another way of fighting off any hangry feelings that may arise in mid-morning. It is also an excellent source of iron.

Description
Delicious Peanut Butter Smoothie that is perfect for jump-starting your day.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. of peanut butter (add more to taste)
- 1 small banana
- 3/4 cup almond milk
- 1 plain vanilla Greek yogurt
- 3 tbsp. of rolled oats (Don’t use oatmeal – the texture will turn out oddly. Add more rolled oats for something thicker)
- Handful of chocolate chips
- Handful of ice
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add more ice if you want to make it colder.
- Serve fresh and drink in one setting for best results!
- Enjoy for breakfast or a snack!
Notes
Tip: For an even healthier version, try powdered peanut butter (my favorite is PB2), which has less fat, calories, and oils compared to regular peanut butter. You simply mix it with water to get a good consistency. As a bonus, it is just made of crushed peanuts.
