- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
- 1/2 Tablespoon Black Pepper
- 1/2 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/8 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl or glass jar, stir all ingredients together.
- Store in an air-tight container.
Notes
I usually give the seasoning a stir before using, if it has been sitting for a while.
To use for taco meat: brown 1 pound of ground beef. After the beef has been cooked, drained, and returned to the skillet, add 2 tablespoons of seasoning and 1/2 cup of water. Simmer until the liquid has evaporated or absorbed into the meat.
2 tablespoons of taco seasoning = 1 packet of taco seasoning
