Being a crafter, I love finding great products that make my life easier and my projects look more amazing. I recently had the chance to review the Colortime Fabric Markers and I LOVE them!
Colortime Crafts and Markers sells fabric markers and materials to use them on, allowing their customers to be able to gather and create with ease! The markers are permanent, non-toxic, and aren’t messy at all! Colortime is also a licensed vendor of the Girl Scouts and they have a lot of experience in offering products to consumers for groups and organizations. Over 2 million people have used Colortime products since 1990 alone!
Here is a picture of our tote bag that we colored. I must say that the steps to complete this were easy and the colors were vibrant.
The first step that we took was to place a paper towel in the tote bag and directly behind the area that we were coloring. This is for protection in case the color goes through the material, however, none of ours did! But I’m glad it was there for safety purposes anyway.
I was very surprised at the vibrancy of these colors! Not only are they bright, but the markers lasted well throughout coloring the entire pumpkin, where some markers might have started to dry out and not color as easily.
I wanted to go for a “tie die” effect on the lettering so I used the yellow, orange and red markers and overlapped each color as I added the new. I was worried about what was going to happen when I overlapped them, but it worked perfectly and the colors went together nicely without making a mess at all.
The ultimate test was the washing. The directions say to wash normally, but to avoid ironing (which is not a problem, since I don’t iron anyway unless it is for craft purposes! ha!) I hand-washed the first time around, simply because I wanted to witness first hand what the water looked like when it was washed. When submerged in water and laundry soap, the colors did not bleed one bit and didn’t lose their vibrancy either. I hung to dry and the bag looks beautiful just like before. I’m very impressed with how easy it is to use these markers and they will become a staple in my craft supplies!
