I received 2 organic cotton doublers and 2 wool diaper liners from Babee Greens to review. When I inspected the doublers and liners, they both appeared and felt like they were execellent quality. I then visited the Babee Greens website to read about their washing instructions. After the prewashing, I inspected the products again. They both had shrunk in the length, but that was expected after reading the washing instructions.
Organic Cotton Doublers
When I reviewed the organic cotton doublers, I used them as a liner in my prefold diapers. According to the website, they will also fit in other diapers. Placing them in the prefolds did not make the diaper more bulky. When I changed my son’s diaper, his skin was not soaken wet like it usually is. The doubler was wetted on but it even felt pretty dry to the touch and was super absorbent. I also noticed that my son would wear the prefold diaper longer with ther doubler than without. I don’t like to let my son sit in a dirty diaper but I had to actually check to see if he was wet! Normally he is telling me to get the diaper off now right after wetting. You can find the organic cotton doublers on the Babee Greens website. A package of 6 doublers costs $21.95 and you can get them in organic cotton or hemp/cotten blend.
I also used the wool liners inside my prefold diapers. They are made of Oeko Tex 100 certified Merino Wool and are soft to the touch. I was really suprised at how much these wool liners held. They just didn’t seem thick enough to hold much, but I was wrong. Once again, my son’s skin was not soaken wet! These liners also provided a nice barrier between the wet prefold and my son’s skin. I also had to check him to see if he was wet. You can find the wool liners on the Babee Greens website for $6.00 per liner.
I love using both, the organic cotton doublers and wool liners, in my prefolds. They make me feel better about the wettness against my son’s skin and they do not make my son uncomfortable when he wets his diaper.
