Have you ever hit a tipping point in your life? One where you have to make an important decision?
My ONLY belt broke yesterday. It simply was worn out. Much like I feel most days.
I haven’t worked out consistently for about 3 years now, and sadly, it shows. After baby, I gained an additional 35 pounds on top of the 50 or so extra that I was already carrying around from work related stress, and a bunch of other excuses that I’ve made up. I’m sure that you would love to hear them, but I won’t bore you, because realistically they are just an additional barrier to my current issue.
Last week I popped in a workout DVD and started in. So far, I have been consistent, doing at least 1-2 miles of exercise per day. I’ve noticed that I have not only felt better, but I’ve had more energy and focus to be able to get through the day.
In the past, fast food has become a significant problem in my life. We all know that it is so easy just to run out and grab something. (Sometimes it is even cheaper to run out and grab something, which doesn’t help!) But, as I write this blog post today, I am banishing fast food from my diet entirely. I might need some help being held accountable for this decision, but I have to do it so that I can lose my 85+ pounds of excess weight I’ve been carrying around.
I’ve added a “Health” category to the menu navigation on the blog and will be giving regular journaling updates to show you how I am doing. I also will be posting more about products and services that I am trying out to help me get back to my ideal weight.
I want to be healthy. I want to have energy to be able to play with my kids. I want to fit into my clothes again.
Are you trying to lose a few pounds or get healthy? Will you join my journey? I know I am going to need some buddies to help me along the way!
