They always say, every pregnancy is different. Boy are they right. With only a few weeks left, I thought I would share how my second pregnancy differed from my first.
My first pregnancy can be summed up in one word: Easy. My second pregnancy can be summed up in two words: Not Fun. Here is why:
- Food: With my first pregnancy I could eat whatever I wished. Probably why I gained so much weight the first time too. However, the second time around, I can not eat beef, pork, and I have had to recently add fast-food/greasy food to that list. To me it seems to be more like Gall Bladder symptoms. It is hard to tell at this point. I am just waiting out the pregnancy to be over and see if the symptoms continue or if they were just really pregnancy problems. I can’t wait for a nice hamburger. I really do miss it.
- Moving: We moved right after I found out I was expecting. That made things difficult. I had to take it easy and not lift things too heavy. I felt horrible for not being able to help much. Plus, I am one of those people who don’t say anything till after three months of being pregnant. So moving somethings while trying not to let on why I can’t lift much got interesting.
- Pain: I am much bigger with this child than the first. So it seems like I have a lot more aches and pains than the first. The most interesting thing, I may be bigger, but I haven’t put on the amount of weight like I did with the first.
Despite all these difference and not getting along as well as I did with the first, I wouldn’t trade this little one for anything. It will be interesting in the next few weeks and I can’t wait to meet this baby.
For those of you who have had more than one child, how was your pregnancies different?
