This past fall I was able to finally get my very first DSLR camera, a Canon – EOS Rebel T3i. My first project that I used it on was to shoot a senior photo session. I quickly realized that the standard camera strap that it came with left my neck a bit scratchy. Because I use the Internet for all of my research, I immediately went to it and started searching for a new camera strap online. This is where I found out about Mod.
Mod, a Texas based company, was created by a mother-daughter team. They found themselves searching the market for stylish, high-quality and comfortable camera straps when they decided to embark on their journey to begin this business. At first, they began by creating their straps by hand, but as their business began to grow, they found a manufacturer that was able to keep up with their quality and aligned well with their business model. All products from Mod are made right here in the US!
I was able to review the Hot Pink Victorian Strap from Mod. I think it looks gorgeous on my camera!
Installing this strap was easy. I simply undid the strap from the buckle, inserted it through the hooks on my camera and adjusted them back through the buckle. I love how there is more than enough room for the photographer to adjust to their desired length. The adjustable length of this strap is 42 – 48 inches. When you purchase this camera strap you have the option of purchasing it with, or without, quick-release straps.
The material used to create this strap is very high quality. The color on the outside is a vibrant pink featuring a velvet damask. The back is a black minky fabric, which is very comfortable and moves easily while around my neck. I love how the strap moves with your neck and doesn’t stick to it like my previous strap did! The seams were sewn together with quality and the look of the strap is very fashionable and professional at the same time.
According to their website, this strap has been tested to withstand weight up to 70 pounds. The design portion of the strap is 33 inches long and the total adjustable length ranges from 42 – 48 inches. The strap is approximately 1 3/4″ thick.
I absolutely love this strap! It totally fits with my personality and style.
In addition to camera straps, Mod also sells Accessory Bags and Cap Savers, to help prevent losing your lens caps.
