Have you noticed the nifty “Yum” button that shows up when you hover over an image? This little button could be your best friend when it comes to recipes.
How it works:
When you visit my recipes or recipes on other sites, you can “yum” the recipe to be saved in your Recipe Box. You will have all the recipes you love in one place!!
You can also search Yummly’s HUGE database of recipes. There are many ways to search: by ingredients, taste preferences, seasonal, popular, quick and easy, and even publishers. If you want to find Midwestern Moms on Yummly, here is our publisher page.
If a website doesn’t have the Yum button installed, you can add a bookmarklet to your browser. This will allow you to yum a recipe you enjoy, even if they do not have the button. To add this, follow these bookmarklet instructions.
Want to add your own recipe, you can do that too!
Bloggers, You Need Yummly!
Did you know the more Yums your recipes gets, the more people see your recipe. And the more people who see your recipe, the more referral traffic to your blog! It is very easy to add your recipes to the database. Just “yum” your recipe and it will be added to the database.
Once your first recipe is Yummed, your publisher page will be created. Yummly will create the page for your blog, however, you can change the information on the page with this form.
If you do not have the Yum button on your blog, you can add it with these instructions. Another option is to use a social sharing option that included the Yum button. I currently use SumoMe but there are others that are listed on the instructions page that you can use.
Now go start Yumming and build your recipe box!!
