Though I may appear organized to some of you, I spend most of my days in a discombobulated state surrounded by notebooks, software, sticky notes and refrigerator magnets. That is why I was so excited to be able to review a planner from Dotmine.
Dotmine was started by two women who were longing for something more in their careers. They embarked on the journey to bring fashionable planners to students, family and professionals to help them organize their daily lives in a functional and affordable manner. The planners include 17 months in order to cover the current year and the school year both. What a great idea!
The planner that I chose was the Fifth Avenue Mini from the family_time collection. Previous to receiving my planner, I had been using a 5 subject spiral notebook, a 7 day sticky notepad on my refrigerator and my computer calendar for planning. The size of this in comparison is fantastically refreshing! I can actually carry around my planner in one hand and not have to feel like I’m toting around the kitchen sink!
I love the options that this planner gives you to organize your life! First, the planner give you enough space to organize according to the seasons. Have soccer practice every Wednesday from 5-6pm? Work outside of the home? You can easily keep track of things you do every day on the Fall Master Schedule Planning Guide page. If you have multiple children, it is easy to use the Fall Weekly Schedule to mark who is supposed to be where each day of the week.
The planner also has an option to create your daily list of things you have to do within the week. I love this feature because 1. The boxes have lines and 2. They are large enough for me to write in! I also love the list on the edge of the pages because I can note what I need from the grocery store and even tear it out and take it with me. All of the edges of the planner are perforated so that you can remove them if you like. Toward the back of the book there are also spaces to include information for your babysitter, contact information for your family and personal family members and friends.
Also included are cute stickers that you can mark holidays, celebrations and events, appointments and even date night. The Dotmine planners range in price from $13.99 – $21.99, depending on which size and collection you choose from and can be purchased online at their website (http://www.timemine.com), on Amazon.com or through Powell’s Books.
