Inspiration for design can be found anywhere. I am glad that I have a camera on my phone and the Instagram app so that I can capture designs that I love on the go. I often look for new items to decorate my home with, both inside and out. Living in the Midwest we see the seasons change four times per year, and I like to change up my colors to reflect the weather and my own personal taste.
I have looked around and found some designs that inspire me in my own personal decorating and would love to share them with you below.
The photo above is a view from the bottom of a unique light fixture. I love the way that the globes are flowered out at the top and the metal has leaf designs, giving it a pattern on the bottom. If you think about it, you spend most of the time looking at your dining room light fixture from underneath while sitting at your table, so you should make sure that you like it from that angle also!
I love simple fixtures and this one is gorgeous. The way the light beams off of the angled glass is something that I couldn’t quite capture with the camera, however you can see the amount of light that this puts off. I love things that look bright and sparkly.
When it comes to decorating and design, I also enjoy incorporating texture. This texture happens to be material covering the outside of a throw pillow and looks like a giant flower with petals covering the face of the pillow.
When it comes to design for the inside of your home, what do you find yourself looking for?
