AR Flashcards Animal Alphabet App Review

AR, which stands for Augmented Reality, is one of the coolest technologies I’ve ever seen.  The best way to explain it, is that it is like looking at a real view of your live environment, with a computerized element that is projected onto it. AR Flashcards, by Mitchlehan Media, uses the technology of augmented reality in this app to give traditional educational flashcards a fun twist of interactivity for both kids and adults!

Below is the example of A – Alligator, standing on top of my printed flashcard on my dining room table.

Cube Dog App Review

Thank you to Cube Dog for sponsoring this review. For more information about Cube Dog please visit the Facebook page or download it on iTunes.

Cube Dog is a cute, new app for the iPhone or iPod Touch that allows you to build a virtual dog that you can play with from your mobile device. I like these type of pets! There is much less maintenance than with a real dog. Downloading the app was easy from the iTunes store and once it was installed, I read the instructions and started to build my new virtual pet, Spot. Here is a photo of my pet being silly:

There are several different selections you can make to create a unique dog. You can customize everything from your dogs body, ears, nose, eyes and body color. The dog has high quality 3D animations and you can easily rotate it around in all directions. You can also zoom in to see your dog closer.

One of my favorite parts of this app is that it works with your iPhone camera. You can take a picture of your dog, as I have above, and save it to your phone album or upload and share on multiple social platforms.

My daughter, who is almost 2, loves this app. She uses her finger to turn the dog around and to “pet” it. When you touch it, it jumps around and does different actions and barks and my daughter just shrieks with glee. I think she is proud that she was able to make the dog do that. It is super cute!

One of my favorite actions that the dog does is ninja moves. Check out my dog in action.

The best part about this app? It is available for free on iTunes! Be sure to check out the Cube Dog Facebook page for more information and a special contest that will be running June 13-17. Here is a video that shows more about Cube Dog.
