We travel as a family quite often. Since both my husband and I work for ourselves, it is easy for us to pick up and go whenever we want. Skype helps keep us connected while on the go!
One of the features of Skype that we use the most is through my cell phone. My daughter loves to talk to Grandma several times a week, and thanks to Skype, she is still able to “see” Grandma even though she lives several hours away.
This summer, I have gotten the chance to travel for work and used Skype to call back and tak to my daughter and husband. It is rough the first time you have to leave your child and be away, but thankfully Skype helped us communicate back and forth several times for no additional cost! It was a great relief for me as a mom to be able to talk to my child and physically see that she is okay and having fun while I’m not home.
Skype Group Video Calling is awesome to use with multiple family members! For instance, we are traveling for my daughter’s birthday this year. I am planning on setting up a group video call between us, her grandparents, and some aunts and cousins so everyone can see her open her presents all at the same time! It is nice to have a service with so many free features (and affordable premium features) to assist us in sharing life events like we never could in the past.

I think it is amazing that 92% of moms love to be able to communicate with family and friends via technology! I consider myself a tech mom and would be lost without the convenience that it provides to myself and my family.

When my daughter spent a semester abroad in London, Skype was our favorite way to keep in touch. She could even say hi to the dog! Technology is amazing, isn’t it?
haha! My daughter likes to say hi and see my parents dog. He just sits there and tilts his head like he is amazed at the technology.

I always use Skype for when I talk to my family abroad! I’ve never used it on the phone though cause I always just prefer talking to them on my laptop.
If we are home, we prefer the laptop also, but on the go the phone is so nice! I had a friend go abroad last summer and called me via skype and showed me the city out her hotel room window. It was such a cool experience. I felt like I was right there with her!
