Book Review: Taming the Wolf by Stephanie Nelson

Taming the WolfJust when I thought I couldn’t become any more addicted to Stephanie Nelson’s books, she comes out with Taming the Wolf. This book is for readers over 18 years of age and is classified as an adult paranormal romance.

Anna Avery finds her world turned upside down as she is out jogging one day and gets bitten by a werewolf. A pack finds her in the woods and takes her in to live this bizarre new lifestyle. Adam, the pack leader, takes an interest in Anna early on.  Since Adam is mated to another wolf, he tries to set her up with another pack member, which ends up failing. Adam and Anna seem meant to be together.

I love that this book included such a romantic story among Adam and Anna, as well as included some mystery. Humans start turning up dead and Anna begins having visions of them dying. She starts to wonder if her visions are real and so do her other pack members. This attracts the attention of the wolf council, who comes to town to watch Anna’s every move.

I enjoyed reading Nelson’s interpretation of how the werewolf pack went about daily life. Since Anna isn’t a pure werewolf and was bitten to become one, you can tell that she gets treated a bit differently because of this. She also is a white werewolf, which I imagine to be very beautiful and unique.

I love Adam’s character. He has a take-charge attitude and in my mind is pretty hot! If you love alphas, this book is for you!

Like Nelson’s other books, I had my nose in it until I was completely finished. They are SO good! Then I went online and raved about it to all my friends who also love paranormal romance.
