When Jill Prescott was first introduced in book 1 of this series, Witch Way Bends, I was intrigued by her story. As Devan’s best friend, she boldly stood up for her friend against her own kind. It was apparent that Jill’s past played a key in her supporting Devan and sticking around with the rest of their group.
Bitten Shame starts out with the unusual story of how Jill met and fell in love with vampire Doc Massey. Doc wasn’t a typical vampire and spent his days trying to help others rather than being consumed by darkness. We learn in this book how Jill becomes a vampire and why she is so willing to help Devan on her quest.
In this book, I loved watching Jill’s character grow and interact with Langston. Langston quickly became one of my favorite characters in book 1 because he is very knowledgable and seems like he would be a great friend. Jill and Doc’s love story captivated me from the first scene. I love how the writer switches from past to present so that you can understand some fo the actions that take place throughout the story.
My favorite part of this book is the ending… which definitely leaves you wanting to read more! Jill travels with Devan to the faery realm so that Devan can finally meet her real father, and Jill finds out that she has a purpose being there too.
I definitely recommend grabbing a copy of this book series!
