Last week I decided it was time to get out of the house in the afternoon and practice shooting in manual mode with my camera. Since it is hot, hot, hot right now in the Midwest, the summertime flowers are all in bloom. Please enjoy some of the graphics that I made with quotes out of my photos.
We have a gorgeous rose garden in town by our local zoo. I was lucky to be able to capture a few images of them when they weren’t swaying in the wind.
The yellow rose has been my favorite flower for as long as I can remember. Actually, yellow and pink mixed together makes the most beautiful bouquet!
I found this flower amazing to photograph. I love the detail that is captured and the texture that is in focus on the leaves.
I’m not a professional photographer by any means, but I love learning! Anytime I decide to get out and practice, I will try to post a few pictures for you all to enjoy. This way you have a chance to see some of the beautiful scenery and flowers in the midwest.

These shots and quotes are incredible!! I too love yellow roses. We have some in our garden and I enjoyed photographing them when they bloomed. Sadly the bloom cycle is just too short. My favorite photos are those in my garden this year as this is the first summer I know how to shoot in manual mode. It’s so much fun learning huh? I am loving it! It’s amazing what you can do with your camera when you get out of auto.
Thanks for the nice words Mindi! It is fun learning new things!
