I’m A Skype Ambassador!

When you have children, sometimes living far away from your family can be rough. You go weeks without speaking to one another and it is sad when you do get together and your kids don’t remember who people are because they aren’t used to seeing them.

Thank goodness for Skype!

Because of Skype, my daughter gets to talk to Grandma and Grandpa every week, even though they live hours away! She used to be extremely shy and this was an excellent way for her to be able to get used to people so that when she saw them in real life, she would recognize who they were. It is also amazing that my family now gets to see her grow, dance and watch her speak!

I’m proud to announce that I am a Skype Ambassador and get to work with them over the next few months. So, look forward to some great posts about Skype and it’s awesome features!

I first learned about Skype while I was still working outside of the home. We used to use it for conferencing and I have even used it as an actual business phone when I started freelancing from home. Skype has given me many opportunities to be able to be a work at home mom and that is something that I appreciate! In business, sometimes face-to-face meetings are needed and Skype makes it so much easier for me to work from home and make that possible.

Visit Skype on Facebook to create your own Humoticons and read more about the cool features that Skype has to offer.

Skype also allows you to send group video greetings! You can send a message to say Happy Birthday or simply tell your mom that she rocks!  With Facebook, it is easy to install the app and choose the Facebook Friend that you want to send the greeting to.

I know that I love video chatting and feel like it is so much more personal than just sending a card for the holidays or special occasions.

Do you use Skype? Who do you talk to most frequently? Have you ever tried their video conferencing?

Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Skype. I received Skype credits to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating
