Feed Your Zoo at Home Movie Night #iLovemyK9 #cBias

We love family movie night at our house! Especially when it comes to movies with animals. Since “We Bought a Zoo” came out we have been wanting to see it, but we usually wait to see movies when they come out on video because our daughter is a little bit too young for the theater just yet.

We Bought a Zoo

Del Monte is doing a promotion this month on pet products where you can purchase 2 pet products and get a $4 off coupon to buy the movie “We Bought a Zoo.”  We have 2 pups, so we purchase food and treats regularly. We love Milo’s Kitchen treats as well as Milk-Bone snacks. Those are 2 snacks that we always purchase for our dogs.

I headed out for Walmart to make my purchase of dog treats, fruit cups and the movie. Please view my Google + album to see my entire shop. I am always so amazed at the amount of Milk-Bone snacks that are gone from the shelf at my local Walmart. They must be very popular in our area! I know our dogs love them.

I decided during the movie that I would make a snack for us and give the dogs some of their snacks also. Those of you who have dogs inside the house will understand that if you don’t give them treats while you are eating, they will beg you for yours! I don’t like them doing that while we are trying to watch a movie.

Del Monte pet products are also being featured in Women’s World and Parade magazines this month. Del Monte fruit cups are being featured in First For Women magazine this month with a $.50 off coupon. We love Del Monte fruit cups at our house. My daughter loves the mandarin oranges for an afternoon snack and they are also amazing to take when you are traveling.

For our snack during the movie, I prepared jello. I love putting fruit in with my jello to make a nice snack for my family. Fruit and jello is much more healthy than candy or buttered popcorn!

Movie night was a success. The movie was so much better than I even imagined. I think our favorite part was when they opened the zoo for the first time to the public. My daughter enjoyed practicing her lion roar during the movie also.

Have you seen the movie yet? What was your favorite part?

  1. We have to give our little guy a treat even when we are done with dinner because he will scour the floor looking for any little morsel. Treats are good!
