Rockin’ Green Laundry Detergent Review

Rockin’ Green was created by Kim Webb, a cloth diapering mom looking for a better way to clean dirty diapers and have the detergent be safe for her kid’s sensitive skin.  Rockin’ Green is well known for their clean-rinsing laundry detergent which works well for cloth diapers.  They have detergents for all types of water based upon the water conditions where you live. They offer hard, soft, and normal which have been cleverly named Hard, Soft and Classic Rock.  They also have equally clever names for their scents.

I had recently noticed that my cloth diapers were starting to have a smell to them.  It was about that time that I learned my free and gentle laundry detergent was not the best thing I could be using for cloth diapers since it still leaves a residue on the diapers.  I had also noticed a decline in absorbency.

I received the Rockin’ Green Classic Rock, Motley Clean scented laundry detergent.  The first thing I did was The Soak.  I followed the soaking instructions provided and washed them, skipping the detergent like suggested.  I then washed them again with the laundry detergent.  I immediately noticed that the cloth diapers smelled CLEAN!!!!!!!  I was so excited.  I did have my husband smell a diaper before hand (after I had washed it) and had him smell it after using Rockin’ Green Laundry Detergent.  He was impressed at the difference and how clean they now smelled.  The next test was the absorbency.  I placed a diaper on son after they were washed.  The absorbency is back!!!!!!
